A cross-border payroll platform in Abu Dhabi — Pay Your Team in AED, USDT or USDC
A company registered in Abu Dhabi that employs contractors or remote staff abroad usually ends up juggling a local AED payroll run alongside separate international wire transfers — often through a bank that treats each destination differently. iSAP Exchange is a cross-border payroll platform in Abu Dhabi that keeps both in one place: pay your UAE-based team in AED and settle international contractors in AED, USDT or USDC from the same dashboard.
Our UAE bank connectivity runs through Lean Technologies, a trusted partner based on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi's ADGM that holds a Financial Services Permission from the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority, plus an in-principle approval from the Central Bank of the UAE for Open Finance Services, granted in August 2025. For the international leg, stablecoin transfers are handled by Bridge, registered with FinCEN in the US and authorised under MiCA in Luxembourg — an affordable route for paying a contractor abroad compared with opening a separate international wire for every corridor.
What a payroll run actually needs
The details you need depend on how each person is paid. For a bank transfer: their full legal name exactly as registered with their bank, the bank's name and country, account number or IBAN, and SWIFT/BIC code — some corridors also need the branch address. For cash pickup: full legal name, a mobile number for the pickup notification, and the destination country. For a mobile wallet: the recipient's registered mobile number and the wallet provider. The best way to avoid a failed or delayed payment is getting the recipient's name exactly right — it has to match their bank records exactly, including middle names and spelling.
Every payment, whichever corridor it takes, goes through the same advanced step-up confirmation before it is sent — a one-time security code tied to that specific payment, not a standing authorisation you set once and forget.
If you'd rather pay a contractor directly in USDC or USDT — for example because their local banking is unreliable — that runs through the same approval flow as a fiat payment, with the same step-up confirmation before anything leaves your account.
Frequently asked questions
What details do I need to pay a contractor abroad from Abu Dhabi?
It depends on the payout method. Bank transfer needs their full legal name as registered with their bank, bank name and country, account number or IBAN, and SWIFT/BIC code. Cash pickup needs their full legal name, a mobile number and destination country. Mobile wallet needs their registered mobile number and wallet provider. Getting the name exactly right is the single biggest factor in avoiding delays.
Can I pay part of payroll in USDC or USDT?
Yes, where the recipient is able to receive stablecoins. The transfer goes through Bridge, our regulated stablecoin partner, and is confirmed with the same security step as any other payment.
Why was a payment delayed or put on hold?
The most common reasons are additional verification above certain thresholds, the recipient bank's own processing time (which is outside our control once funds are dispatched), public holidays in the destination country adding a day or two, routine compliance screening under UAE anti-money-laundering rules, or incorrect recipient details. You'll be notified in the app if action is needed from you.
Is Abu Dhabi payroll data connected to a local bank account?
If you connect a UAE bank account, that connection runs through Lean Technologies, an ADGM-regulated open finance provider based in Abu Dhabi. Connecting a bank account is optional — you can also run payroll purely from your iSAP multi-currency balance.
