A stablecoin wallet for SMEs in Sharjah — Fiat to Crypto and Back Again
Sharjah's free zones — SAIF Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone among them — are home to a large base of trading and light-industrial SMEs, many of them dealing with suppliers or buyers abroad who now ask to be paid in a stablecoin rather than by wire. iSAP Exchange is a stablecoin wallet in Sharjah built for exactly that: hold AED alongside USDC and USDT, and convert between them from your phone without a separate crypto exchange account.
Stablecoin custody and conversion runs through two trusted partners: Bridge, registered with FinCEN in the United States and authorised as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA in Luxembourg, and CryptoShield, our digital asset wallet infrastructure partner with advanced custody and transaction-monitoring tooling, provided under a white-label arrangement. Fiat balances and currency conversion run through Sokin, licensed by the Dubai Financial Services Authority. For an SME watching every fee, keeping that combination affordable matters as much as which stablecoins are supported.
Getting started without a branch visit
Onboarding is done entirely in the app — identity verification (KYC) is uploaded and checked digitally, with no requirement to visit a branch or bank in person. That is usually the best way for a small trading business to get moving quickly: verify once in the app, then receive AED from local customers, hold it or convert part of it to USDC or USDT, and send stablecoins to a supplier's wallet address the same way you'd send a bank transfer.
Today the wallet supports USDC and USDT. Additional stablecoin options are reviewed as our partners extend their own regulatory coverage — we'll update this page and our FAQ if that changes.
Frequently asked questions
Is iSAP Exchange licensed to deal in virtual assets?
No. iSAP Exchange FZCO does not hold an authorisation from the Central Bank of the UAE, the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, the Dubai Financial Services Authority or the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority. Stablecoin services are provided by Bridge (regulated in the US and Luxembourg) and CryptoShield under a white-label arrangement. See our Regulatory Information page for full details.
Which stablecoins are supported today?
USDC and USDT. We list any additional options on this page and in the app once they're actually available, rather than in advance.
What happens to my stablecoin balance if I stop using the wallet?
You can withdraw supported stablecoin balances to an external wallet address, subject to the standard verification checks that apply to any withdrawal.
Do I need to visit a branch to open the wallet?
No. Identity verification is completed in the app. There is no requirement to visit a branch or meet anyone in person to open the wallet.
